What's a Clammy?

It's 2 hammocks sewn together at the corners & supended in the middle so that it closes like a clam shell. Rats love them! They can hide inside & peek out when ever they want to see what's going on.

I started making Clammys because my rats were chewing their hammocks & getting between the layers. So I started thinking that if I could make a hammock that was covered with easy access & that closed on the sides, maybe I would have happier rats & less bedding destruction,

Rats are harsh teachers they tore them up until I got it right. I finally came up with a design that they love! As you can see they are quite content.

Clammys are made with fabric on the outside to please you & soft cuddly coordinating fleece inside to please your pet.
